More sensor pixels can support large prints and tighter crops when the lens, focus, light and processing preserve that detail. It does not guarantee better low-light images or color.

Burst rate helps with action, while maximum video frame rate affects motion capture and slow-motion options. Both can depend on file type, shutter mode and recording settings.

The system outlives the body

Lens availability, mount compatibility, card formats, ergonomics and service support can matter more over years of ownership than a single headline number.
